Able UK Ltd (ABLE) is a multi role and versatile organisation built on total reliability and respect for the environment, which has developed into a major specialist in the rehabilitation and development of disused sites and facilities. The experience gained has enabled the Company to become a market leader in the field of urban renewal, regenerating new from old and removing the problems of contamination and dereliction in the process.

ABLE, from its headquarters on Teesside, promote redevelopment for wide ranging after uses including residential, commercial, retail, leisure and light or heavy industry and vehicle storage supported by the technical expertise required for appropriate land and property rehabilitation. ABLE currently operates a land bank in excess of 1,200 acres.

ABLE has also evolved into the most significant force within the dismantling and demolition industry, specialising in the acquisition of large redundant, dirty and contaminated facilities such as power stations, oil, gas and petrochemical installations etc, including the disposal of radiation and mercury contaminated materials. This experience and reputation of demolition, site reclamation, remediation, regeneration and waste disposal spans over 30 years is further strengthened by its successful involvement in receiving, reusing, reclaiming and recycling offshore structures.

To further enhance this unequalled ability, ABLE operates four facilities on the River Tees, two which have been developed particularly to receive and dispose of marine related structures and ships. The largest facility, known as the Teesside Environmental Reclamation and Recycling Centre (TERRC), Hartlepool, was acquired in 1996 and has been developed to receive ships and the majority of offshore structures scheduled to be decommissioned from the British and Continental offshore sectors.

The facility also provides a unique, economical and environmentally energy efficient Multi User Centre for the fabrication, fitting out, repairs and modifications of offshore and marine structures - FPSOs, semi-submersibles, spars, GBSs, jackets, concrete tunnel sections, etc.
