Announcement of new deadline for AHP decision

The Secretary of State for Transport was scheduled to make a decision on the planning application by Friday this week, May 24, but has now decided to allow up to a further two months in order to fully complete negotiations on the lease of the river bed owned by The Crown Estate at Killingholme.

Said Able UK Group Development Director Neil Etherington “With a development of this scale and this importance— both regionally and nationally—it is understandable that the Secretary of State would wish to see clarity on this issue.

“We are involved in discussions with The Crown Estate on this specific matter and, once complete, we hope that a decision on the application will be made as quickly as possible.”

Ken Jones, Director of Rural and Coastal Portfolio at The Crown Estate said: “We are working with Humber Portss Limited to agree terms for a lease of the site for the Marine Energy Park on the south bank of the Humber.  Those negotiations are intended to facilitate the determination of Able’s application for a development consent order for the site.”
