Toxic
Wastes & Hazardous Materials/Contaminated Land
ABLE's
experience in major earthworks and hazardous wastes, asbestos and toxic
wastes, has given the Company the capability to execute major reclamation
projects and the cleaning of industrial land etc. This involves the
removal and encapsulation of vast quantities of soils contaminated with
hydrocarbons, heavy metals, etc. One of the largest and complex projects,
undertaken was the complete clean-up of an existing gas works site,
involving the excavation and removal of 250,000 cubic metres of contaminated
ground and its replacement with clean material. The 7 hectares site
is now occupied by over 220 houses.
