The facility has a 3m high electric pulse external perimeter fence.

Flood lighting over the total area is provided to a minimum of 5 lumens for security and 18 lumens for working. In addition, there is strategically placed dome CCTVs which are connected to the main security office used for security and management purposes.

The total surface area will be metalled, providing an impervious layer to enable both quality hardstanding in addition to the catchment of surface water which will be processed via an interceptor prior to being discharged into the watercourse.

Uses
The land is being developed with the sole objective of providing facilities in connection with port related activities, in particular, to provide new vehicle storage and distribution facilities which can be used for import and export, container storage, de-stuffing/stuffing and distribution, warehousing and manufacturing facilities.

Access to the facility is designed in a manner that allows vehicles and HGVs to be driven directly to and from ro-ro vessels at Humber Sea Terminal to the facility without the need to travel on the public highway.
