With the appointment of a new Group Managing Director the company is moving into a new stage of development and growth. ABLE has developed specialist skills in receiving, dismantling and recycling large offshore marine structures and large facilities such as power stations. Operating from four facilities on the River Tees, including the massive TERRC (Teesside Environmental Reclamation and Recycling Centre) near Hartlepool, which offers probably the best facility in the world for recycling, fabrication, repair and modification of marine structures.

CIVIL ENGINEER (Ref: WCE08/07)
Salary over £35,000
The requirement is for a Civil Engineer with good experience in the design of earthworks, roads and drainage schemes. Reporting to the Design Manager, you will be responsible for the design of external works relating to major industrial developments. Candidates should have a minimum of five years experience of a similar role in an engineering design office and be highly computer literate. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of highway and drainage standards and have a working knowledge of ground modelling software such as PDS and drainage modelling software such as WinDes. The successful candidate will assist with site masterplanning, planning applications, detailed design, project management and liaison with statutory authorities. A degree in civil engineering or an equivalent qualification is highly desirable. A market leading salary will be offered taking into account the experience of the applicant.

The role encompasses a wide and interesting range of duties including general property management, new lettings, rent reviews and development advice on the existing extensive portfolio. Responsibilities will also include the leadership of marketing the Group’s developed assets, lease management and maintenance and interfacing with clients to deliver excellent value. Ideally qualified to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline the candidate will be a natural team player and fully computer literate.
