Shell Brent Delta arrival at ASP River Tees w/c 1st May 2017

The worlds largest ship – the Pioneering Spirit is currently circa 5.5 nautical miles off Teesmouth having lifted the Shell Brent Delta platform in one piece, this is the biggest project of its kind and will be re-cycled by Able UK.

The Pioneering spirit is 382 metres long and wider than three football pitches.

The load-in of the Shell Brent Delta topside at ABLE Seaton Port should be week commencing 1st May 2017 subject to weather conditions.

• Weight c.24,000 Ton

Currently the best viewing point for the Pioneering Spirit is the Headland at Hartlepool.

• 16:00 Enter Tees channel
• 17:50 Enter Seaton Channel
• 18:30 Transit into Able Seaton Port
