Successful load-in of Murdoch structures to Able Seaton Port

Working with one of our key customers, Heerema Marine Contractors, the load in of the next wave of redundant oil and gas structures to be recycled at Able Seaton Port (ASP) has been successfully completed.

Following partial dismantling at sea, barges delivered the structures to ASP whereupon they were brought ashore onto of the port’s heavy duty quays.

The structures formed part of the Murdoch Complex and included three platforms with a total tonnage of 12,879t. Decommissioning work is already underway and Able anticipates achieving a recycling rate in excess of 97% once completed.

Able has secured work on a number of other projects and further load-ins are anticipated in the coming weeks.
